Making of Carbon Footprint Part006

Posted by admin on Feb-7-2010

Alot of people have requested i post up the talk i did at Siggraph 2008 about making the mutli-award winning vfx short, ‘Carbon Footprint’. Unfortunetly i dont have a recording if the actual talk i did there along with compositor Fabio Zaveti and producer Stefano Salvini, but i did still have some movies that i took along. I have re-recorded what we were talking about at the event over the top of these movie clips - so i hope you find them interesting - and sorry it took me so long to get around to it. Carbon Footprint The film is an animated time lapse following the decomposition of a tin can over 50 years, depicting the impact of failing to recycle rubbish. Director: Matt Lambert Producer: Stefano Salvini Producer: Bruce Meier (Discovery Channel EMEA) VFX Supervisor/3D Artist: Matt Chandler Lead Compositor: Fabio Zaveti Music: Ben Lukas Boysen\Hecq

How to whack your carbon footprint

Did anyone like it?

Now when I say business environment I really mean surviving the day to day drama of an office enviroment. I honestly believe I am good person with a good work ethic. But where I fall short is dealing with all the office politics. I love my job and the corporation but the day to day "game" as I have heard it referred to can be too much sometimes. It begins to take a toll. There has to be a book out there somewhere that tells the honest truth of office politics. Please let me know.

Much larger than that of average bluecollar people who they blame for environmental destruction. And they do this on the taxpayer dollar IMO
Ex: Nancy Pelosi, and the Congressional Delegation to Copenhagen, etc.
