My computer says it can't open because the Classic environment is no longer supported?

I downloaded the demo for an old game that I want to try but when I tried to open it it said it couldn’t because the Classic environment is no longer supported. What can I do to get it to run?

If you have an older version of the OS you can always dual boot or use vmware.
Unfortunately nothing, at least for what you downloaded. Games that were designed to run under Mac OS 9 and earlier (OS 9 was also called Classic when the first versions of OS X came out, but Classic won’t run under Leopard and/or on Intel Macs) will not run under OS X. The best you can hope for is to search for a newer version of the game that IS designed to work under OS X.
