What adaptions would an animal need to live in a mangrove environment?

I have a marine assignment where we need to create an animal that can survive a mangrove environment. So I was wondering if you guys and gals had any ideas about features or attributes it would need.
I also need a name for it. Hehe

Are birds out of the question?
Why not create a diving bird that hunts primarily for fish. it would require a slender body and long beak. The rest would be up to your interpretation.
